Seventh and Eight month

This was great difficult phase of my life. I thought babies are so easy to handle why people make big fuss of it until I was left alone to handle my cutie pie. I realized my mistakes then. I dint make akki to follow a sleeping or eating schedule until mum was with me. During these days he used wake up in midlle of nite, drink his milk and wanted to play, I used to play along with him as I had a leverage to sleep during the day time. I never used to rock him sleep or forced him to sleep. I let him sleep whenever he wanted to... whatever time it may be. Due to this leverage he developed a weird schedule, he used sleep during day and used to wake at 3 am.
I realized that this was a HUGE MISTAKE only when my mum left to mumbai. I had a small baby to take care of and had to cook for my hubby (I had a maid for other household chores). These 2 things became very hectic to handle. I dint have enough sleep. It was driving me crazy. That was the time I started blogging. I started reading a lot about baby sleep and eating schedule..then I realized not just WHAT but WHEN is also important part of parenting.
I posted many questions in parenting blogs. Out of which what impressed was one sentence from 'YAhoo Answers'. It said "You are letting your baby control his own schedule...correct that, every thing wil b alrite". I thought the answerer was rude when i saw it the first time. But the statement was ringing in my mind and I started to 'correct that', Believe me it was tough but I succeeded by end of the eight month. I prepared his sleeping and eating schedule and almost made him follow that.

Troublemakers:
the factor "WHEN" of sleeping and Eating schedules

Baby eating and sleeping schedule:
I dint have a complete schedule during this period but was struggling hard to reach there.

Sixth month

We were finally back to our home. Akki's dad was so happy to see him n my kiddo responded too, with a smile. I dunno if it was coincidence. But Ram was a proud dad that moment, as he thought his son recognized him. To my surprise akki got well with the changed environment but I dint. Winters are really cold in Bhadrachalam compared to Mumbai. It took me few days to jell along with the climate but then I passed the test too.

It was so blissful when three of us were under the same roof. That was moment when I felt that my family is complete.
This is time when you start introducing solid foods to your baby. But we waited until the end of this month. Though we tried to introduce to him moon daal ka pani, stock of boiled carrot n other vegetables but all in vain. He used to make big fuss of it.We let him won this one. His screams
made him win this n plus from this period his screams weren't sweet anymore.

My mum was still with us. She stayed with us until she was sure that I could handle things all alone.

Trouble makers:
Climate at BCM and my sweetie's hatredness to adapt the new tastes

Baby feeding schedule:
Bottle feeds of pasteurized milk: 3 to 4 times a day (150 to 200 ml)
Bottle feed of Raagi kanji: 1 time a day (150 ml) There is big procedure for making raagi kanji for infants. It is way different from what toddlers or children or adults have.
Apart from the above nursed him as per his demands

Fifth Month

I was all set to cum to my place...bhadrachalam (nr. hyderabad). Did lot a shopping meanwhile. It really satisfied by shopping buds. OMG...after so long...I could go out with Trish n shop shop n shop. This time it was more fun as it was for both of my kiddos (out of which one is my hubby). I shopped for nappies, wipes, blankets, mini bed, toys n clothes for summer, clothes for winter, daily wear clothes, clothes for party n of course clothes for my hubby too. Earlier I used shop 4 myself which was fun too but this was the superlative degree of fun.

Besides shopping I also started giving him bath. He was so small n soft. He used to hate the bath times (but now he wants to dive into the bucket full of water). He used to cry at top of voice n tell the world that his mother is torturing him. Our neighbors always used to guess his bath time rite. They had developed a guessing game on my kiddo's bath time. Is screaming in a apartment (in Mumbai) with 'n' number of neighbors surrounded u, a crime? May be...but my cutie's screams were tuned to musical ragas (at least to my ears). Speaking of screams..he also cried a lot during his DTP vaccinations..(it is due in third month...n it was given that time only but as I 4got to rite then...I m penning it down now). That cruel Doc told me told his legs tight, unaware of the symptoms, I did hold it tight. Before I could realise a six inch needle was piercing my cutie's thighs....Poor thing. I felt like murdering the Doc the first time then it became part schedule. But after that first vaccination, I never had courage to open my eyes during the injection time.

Ok back to what this blog's heading says....We started giving him pasteurized milk in his feeding bottle which was the second thing in his hate list. But by the end of the fifth month he got used to it. It's recommended to adapt spoon feeding. But being a modern citizen of this universe, we generally try d convenient way more than the correct way..

His head was not steady yet. It was so funny to c him uprite. Trish used to cal him 'hile dule mahatma phule baboo'. We used to take him out n it was fun to dress him.
